Skill Trades Canada will implement its comprehensive “Screen 360” reference and background verification service, which includes customized, competency-based reference questionnaires designed to elicit specific, relevant feedback aligned with the requirements of each role; a secure online reference collection platform; thorough verification of employment history, educational credentials, and professional certifications; optional enhanced background screening (such as criminal record checks, credit checks, and other relevant verifications conducted with full candidate consent and in strict compliance with Canadian privacy laws and human rights legislation); and consolidated, actionable reference reports providing GFL/GIP with a clear, concise summary of all reference feedback, delivered promptly to integrate into the final hiring decision.
